Country walk/hiking

The village of Vierves is listed among the most beautiful villages of Wallonia. At the start of the walk, you will walk along the impressive castle of the Barons of Vierves and later on of the Hamal family. Via an alley you descent towards the bridge over the Viroin before you start climbing the Ardennes slope. Don't miss the beautiful view on the village and the castle. At the edge of Olloy there are ruins of an impressive building which used to harbour a stone crusher. Go towards the Vieux Pont (Old Bridge) over the Viroin, across the old area of Olloy. Cross the N99 and climb towards calcareous fields with typical Corsican pines. You return to Vierves via the Roche Madoux (old quarry and calcareous grass field maintained by grazing sheep).
