The MAC's, the Museum of Contemporary Arts of Belgium's French-speaking Community, is found on the UNESCO-listed Grand-Hornu mining site.
The museum's architecture opens out onto several areas of the site, which has been a pole of tourism, culture and science since the nineties.
The MAC's organises long-term temporary exhibitions bringing together works from its collections dedicated to great names of contemporary art and items loaned from elsewhere.
15 December and 1 January. During periods when exhibitions are being mounted and dissembled.
