The Halle Gate is a magical building, more than 600 years old, and the most remarkable legacy of Brussels' medieval past.

The last vestige of the second wall of Brussels, the Halle Gate is now home to a wonderful collection of artworks and all sorts of educational media explaining its history and the history of the fortification of Brussels.

The neo-Gothic facade and high roof added by architect Henry Beyaert in the 19th century have in no way diminished the splendour of the medieval rooms inside the building.

At the top of the tower, from the crenellated parapet, you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Brussels and the surrounding area.
