The impressive Cistercian ruins of the Abbey of Aulne are part of the most important heritage of Wallonia and the Brewery of 'Val de Sambre' is located there.

Next to the numerous walks, you can also enjoy a local beer! Thudinie, Tourist Walks along the Sambre This charming land proves favourable to country walks along the Sambre Valley, particularly verdant and hilly.


Not far from the meandering Sambre river you will find pleasant towns and villages: Thuin, a little medieval town with suspended gardens is known for its belfry, its paved streets and its beautiful ancient houses.

A short distance from Thuin, lies Ragnies, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia, where various fruits liqueurs are distilled, including the famous "Eau de Villéee".

Only a few kilometres away you will find Lobbes, with the Saint Usmer collegiate church, the only Carolingian building in Belgium.
