Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, a stone’s throw from Brussels' Grand Place. Welcome to the Toone tavern, where beer and theatre go hand in hand.
The Toone Theatre and its tavern await you in the centre of Brussels, in the historic district.
The Toone tavern is located on the ground floor of the theatre and is magnificently decorated with puppets. Dating from 1696, it is one of the oldest cafés in town. In the summer, enjoy the most peaceful terrace in the city centre.
Belgian beer takes pride of placeThe Toone tavern has a range of carefully selected Belgian beers which are served in the traditional way, including the famous Kwak on tap. To be sampled with a Plattekeis (quark) open sandwich.
Puppet showsPerformances are every evening at 8.30pm. There is also a performance on Saturday at 4pm. The show lasts 2 hours with an interval. Booking is advised.
The Toone tavern is one of Brussels’ most typical venues. Make sure you visit it at least once in your lifetime!
