Bee Museum

Bee Museum

A visit to the bee museum starts with a projection of an audiovisual montage illustrating the multiple activities carried out by worker bees during various periods in their life.

Visitors will then discover a wide range of different beehives and the equipment used in beekeeping, illustrating how beekeeping techniques have changed over the centuries.

The museum also showcases the results of research carried out by Nobel prize winner Karl von Frisch, particularly on the "language" of bees, who transmit messages through a waggle dance on a section of honeycomb inside the beehive.

An fascinating part is without a doubt two glazed beehives that allow visitors to discover the comings and goings of the worker bee and the activities carried out by them inside the beehive.

Guided group tours (15 people min.) available all year round on request, at least 8 days in advance.
