The Sanglochons farm is found in the village of Verlaine, in Neufchâteau. This establishment houses the living museum of ham where you can watch the salting, smoking and production of a Sanglochon sausage. The Sanglochon (Iron Age pig) is a cross between a wild boar (sanglier) and pig (cochon).
The shop sells traditional pork products such as Sanglochon ham and smoked sausage, as well as house specials, such as sanglochon milk, homemade apple juice and Tschesté beer.
The farm also has a traditional Ardennes tavern recognised as a Bistrot de Terroir®. Come and taste the delicious regional and house specialities.
The Bistrot de Terroir® label distinguishes typical Walloon cafés and guarantees a friendly and high-quality welcome in an authentic establishment.
Visiting the Sanglochons Farm
Weekdays from 10am to 7pm and weekends from 10am to 8pm.
In summer, closed Mondays after 4pm and all day Tuesday.
In winter, closed on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings as well as Tuesdays.
In July and August, open every day from 10am to 8pm.
Via the E411, 100 metres from exit 26 towards Neufchâteau.
