The Museums of the Far East are composed of three remarkable buildings, built by King Leopold II. They are the Museum of Japanese Art, the Japanese Tower and the Chinese Pavilion.
The collections and the buildings themselves illustrate the intriguing meeting of Occident and Orient. The collections are also showcased through temporary exhibitions.
The Chinese Pavilion invites you to discover a collection of exported Chinese porcelain. The Japanese Tower also houses a large collection of exported Japanese porcelains, dating from the middle of the 17th century.
The Museum of Japanese Art presents the rich Japanese collections of the Royal Museums for Art and History. Among these, you can admire an internationally renowned collection of Japanese engravings.
