History of a family-run chocolate shop
1857 is where it all began. Jean Neuhaus, a pharmacist, set up his business in the Galerie de la Reine in Brussels selling his medicines coated in chocolate. His sweet business developed so fast and was so successful that, little by little, Jean Neuhaus's pharmacy became the first chocolate and pastries shop in Brussels.
In 1912, his grandson launched the first ever filled chocolate...and so the praline was born!
Today, the company is renowned worldwide, so much so that they are now on every continent! Find your nearest Neuhaus shop here.
