Located in the province of Liège, the Château de Jehay's remarkable architecture is unique in Europe.

The Château de Jehay is an imposing 16th-century building surrounded by moats which appears as if by magic when you turn a corner in the wood.

Recognisable thanks to its famous chequered walls, it's a rare and beautiful example of 16th-century Renaissance style in the Meuse valley, listed as a site of exceptional heritage in Wallonia.

Your visit to the castle

It's worth a visit just to experience the special and refined atmosphere of the Château de Jehay. If you're an art lover, you'll be bowled over by its eclectic collections: furniture, silverware, paintings, tapestries, ceramics and books.

As well as the welcome centre, the shop and a meeting space, you can also discover exhibition rooms. The former stables are the location for the temporary exhibitions on various themes.

The former home of Count Guy van den Steen opens its doors to you for an incredible journey through the arts.
