International Hunting and Nature Days, Saint-Hubert

A historic procession has taken place for over 40 years on the first Sunday in September, evoking the history of the city's saint, 30/08 to 01/09/13.

Experience the story of his conversion, the foundation of the abbey, the pilgrimage...

Friday


7:30pm: at the Cour du Palais Abbatial: Official opening of the hunting and nature festival attended by the authorities: hunting calls and opening of the "Hunting Horns" exhibition.

9pm: Animal photo evening as part of the "Summer of photography". Projection onto a giant screen of films and photo reports from the best animal photographers of our time.

Saturday


From 10am: Parc Dussart 28th International Clubshow - Saint-Hubert Belgian dog club.


From 10am to 6pm: in front of the basilica: craft and forestry market. A wide range of activities relating to hunting and nature.

6pm: Basilica: Mass with participation from German and Belgian horn players.

8pm: Cour du Palais Abbatial: Feasts! A feast of game with a festive atmosphere.

8:30pm: Basilica: Hunting horn concert from the Heidelberg and Royal-Forêt Saint-Hubert hunting horn ensembles.

Sunday


10am to 6pm: in front of the basilica: craft and forestry market.

10am: Basilica: hunting calls from Belgian and foreign players.

11am: Basilica: formal high mass with hunting calls from Belgian and foreign players. Blessing and distribution of bread.
In front of the basilica: blessing of animals.

12pm: Cour du Palais Abbatial: A feast! A feast of game and a festive atmosphere.


2:30pm: in front of the basilica: 1st historical show: a travelling theatrical performance of the history of our ancient city!

5pm: in front of the basilica: the final hunting call.
