Medieval Festival in Forest, Brussels
Come and re-live the days of knights and minstrels in the magical setting of the Abbey of Forest! From 13 to 15/09/13!
Lords and knights, horsemen, aristocrats, soldiers, peasants, fair maidens, minstrels, magicians, villains, acrobats, fools, artisans, fire-eaters galore for this 17th edition of the medieval festival.
Once again, a quality line-up will help you familiarise yourself with the history of the Middle-ages, feast and have fun in a friendly and courteous atmosphere.
Meander through the various and original stalls of 200 artisans from the four corners of Europe. They will be in period costumes and will bring an air of authenticity.
You can buy regional produce and great medieval feast will be laid on. Fruit wines, spices hypocras wine and cervoise (an ancient beer made without hops), cider, almond milk, etc.
Ebony sculptors, clothing sellers, jewellers, armourers, copper and brass craftsmen, enamellers, joiners, potters and weavers will be exhibiting their artistic creations.
Throughout the weekend, there will be diverse shows, informative animations, medieval camps and equestrian tournaments.
As usual, children have not been forgotten and there will be many activities on offer for them.
On the 13/09 festivities begin at 5pm and on the 14 and 15/09 from 10am.
The main events of the weekend will be the Electroll concerts, the equestrian tournaments and the numerous wandering entertainment.
To round of Saturday with a bang, a gigantic firewors display will take place at 10:30pm in the park of the Abbey of Forest!
