Hôtel Max Hallet
Masterpiece by Victor Horta (1902-1905) - this building comprising reception rooms and living rooms offers luminous spaces where curves and counter-curves harmoniously reflect each other in the splendid glass roofs and windows.
10am in English and 10.30am in French. Admission: €25 - 346 Avenue Louise, 1000 Brussels.
Major work by the architect Victor Horta - This building was built in 1894 at the request of industrialist Armand Solvay.
Expressing the principal of Gesamtkunstwerk, the architect successfully combined top-quality materials with innovative techniques.
11.30am in English and 12pm in French. Admission: €40 - 224 Avenue Louise, 1050 Brussels.
Completed in 1897 by the architect Paul Hankar, the Ciamberlani house and its spectacular façade sgraffiti have undergone an exemplary restoration.
Hankar’s geometric Art Nouveau is expressed in the reception areas as much as in the design of the unusual windows which flood the first floor with daylight.
At 2pm in English and 2.30pm in French. Admission: €25 - 48 Rue Defacqz, 1050 Brussels.
Duration: 1 hour for each house.
