    Traditional march in honour of Saint Fiacre, which celebrates the start of the folkloric marches of Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse.


    The Saint-Faincre March in Tarcienne is the first of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse marches.

    Origins of the Napoleonic Marches


    Religious and marked by the Napoleonic era, the marches continued to evolve during the 20th century to what they are today.

    From May to September every year, 20,000 people, dress up in traditional costumes. Each have their own traditions, customs and characteristics.

    UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage


    The Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse marches are inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
