Around Brussels: contact the organiser for further details.
Car-free Sunday is the highlight of this event, which is dedicated to mobility in all its forms. In Brussels from 16 to 2 September 2016!
For the 15th year in a row, the Brussels-Capital Region, together with the city's 19 municipalities, enables all inhabitants and visitors to rediscover Brussels in a different way:
- On foot,
- by bike,
- by public transport...
- Any means will do!
Plus, a number of activities will be held throughout the week around Brussels. With free STIB public transport, now is the time to try out different means of transport!
The aim of no-car day is to change people's mindset and start a debate on mobility in the city.
- "Bike"-themed village in the city centre,
- Many walking and cycle paths,
- Rural-Brussels.. Etc.
On the Region's initiative, "My village in town" will allow you to enjoy pleasant zones and activities about sustainable mobility/development in the 12 Brussels communes. The day will be lively and, above all, it will be a chance to visit and discover Brussels with family or friends with less cars, less noise and less pollution!
Once again this year, the Brussels-capital region will dedicate its 160km² to sustainable mobility. So why not try out another form of transport!
This event is part of European Mobility Week
