Around Brussels: contact the organiser for further details.

The Journées du Patrimoine are a unique opportunity to discover monuments and cultural sites, both public and private. In Brussels on 20 and 21/09/14!

There's a whole host of activities you can attend over these 25th heritage days! Guided tours, walks, children's games, guided tours in sign-language and for disabled people: bike rides with adapted bikes, exhibitions... you name it!

During the Heritage Days, take the time to admire these places which are often little-known.

Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Victor Horta, Paul Hankar, Henry Van de Velde, Paul Cauchie, Josef Hoffmann, Bauhaus and logis floréal are just some of the many great names, talents and beauties embellishing our urban landscape.

In 2014, the theme will be "Histoire et mémoire" (history and memory).

In choosing this theme, the region hopes to honour places that were destroyed or miraculously spared during the Great War.

Places where residents could and can meet, be seen and have fun.

The theme will also highlight a part of Brussels' heritage and will be a unique opportunity to sneak into private houses, companies and public institutions, otherwise rarely accessible to the public.

This weekend allows visitors to discover the incredible architectural diversity, that Brussels prides itself on.

Brussels will be your open-air museum!
