Created in 1967, The 1900 Market, formerly known as the 'bird market', takes place every 15 August. It's a major event in the province of Luxembourg and is recognised as a living intangible cultural heritage of Wallonia-Brussels.
Come and stroll through this extraordinary place, admire the crafts, applaud the musicians, the singers and street artists, taste regional produce or discover games of long ago. All this over 7000m².
The Aye bird club will also exhibit several species of birds which they have raised.
During the 1900 Market, around 30 fanatics cycle through Marche-en-Famenne in period costumes and on period bicycles. Maps of the "Famenne by bike" network will be given out for free.
