Robots are part of our daily lives. Explore this fascinating world where robotics revolutionise our world. In Frameries, on 12 and 13/04/14!
The Belgian Robotics Cup is a fascinating competition in which autonomous robots built by engineers, academics and enthusiasts compete against each other.
The aim is to create, in teams, a robot capable of moving around a course and best completing required tasks.
The three best teams will represent Belgian at the international Eurobot Finals.
Some of the tasks:
- Sorting rubbish,
- Collect samples on Mars,
- Built antique temples,
- Feed the planet and play chess…
The 2014 theme: Prehistobot!
The unique and interesting mix of yesterday's animals and the technology of tomorrow!
In this hostile world, the robots (and participants) will need strategy and courage to complete the missions that await them! Here are some of the missions:
La Fresque - The fresco: the robots have to leave a mark on history.
La conquête du feu - The conquest of fire: the robots need to get as much fire as possible.
La cueillette - The gatherer: the robots have to pick as many fruitmouths as possible.
Les mammouths - The mammoths: the robots have to throw as many spears as they can at mammoths.
Capture des mammouths - Capturing mammoths: the robots can capture a mammoth at the end of the match.
Free access to the big top of the robotics finals.
Finally, let's not forget the equivalent youth competition: it groups youngsters from Belgium, France, etc. In short, more than 500 youngsters compete against each other in Mons in a great fun atmosphere! the theme is the same as the adult competition.
