Belgian Cinema Festival in Jemeppe-sur-Sambre
Discover our country's great cinema talent. It's always better when you do it yourself! In Jemeppe-sur-Sambre from 10 to 16/03/14.
26th edition of this festival that showcases cinema from our fair land.
But what is Belgian cinema? And what is a Belgian film? Historians will define it one way, producers another and institutions another still.
For this Festival it's simple: a Belgian film counts on the talents of a Belgian. A director for instance. Or an actor. A set designer or technician - how many French films would have reached fame without editor Philippe Bourgueil, to name but one?
Don't be surprised then if you see French or Quebecois films on the programme. They're also a bit Belgian!
The guest of honour for this year's edition is Jonathan Zaccaï.
