The devils are going to Brazil! Discover our compatriots who have been present and active there for a long time. In Brussels from 12/06/14 to 31/08/14! This exposition will allow you to walk in the footsteps of the Belgians who have, and who are still, active in trade, industry, social work, religion, art, diplomacy and sport in Brazil. You will discover historic documents, photos of Brazil today and video evidence of Belgians actually there! In the 19th century; for example, several Belgian farming colonies settled in Brazil. Belgians have also been heavily involved in the construction of railways, as well as other notable construction projects. Another key moment concerning Belgo-Brazilian relations includes:

King Albert I and Queen Élisabeth's trip, who were the first foreign head's of state to visit the country in 1920, and were given a hero's welcome. Everyone will be a little bit Brazilian in 2014. And the Belgians...they will become even more Brazilian!
